In 2006 I started to photograph with a digital compact camera and began also to read a book about photography at the same time. While reading I realized that most of the techniques described could not be achieved with a compact camera as there is no manual mode available. But I wanted to have complete control to get pictures which look the way I intended because of my decisions and not the decisions of my camera. Therefore I bought a digital SLR and started to learn how to handle it. Originally I wanted to concentrate on nature photography like landscapes and macros but as a friend of mine writes for an online metal fanzine I started to take also pictures of open air festivals and concerts.
My hope is to find like-minded people here, get inspiration and learn from other photographers.
